Kona pictures!

My husband and I just got back from Kona, Hawaii. What I should be doing: laundry, grocery shopping, getting back to reality. What I am doing: photo editing, of course. Here's a few to whet your appetite...

Weekend trip

My husband and I escaped for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary.

City snapshot

My husband and I recently went to visit family for a couple of days. We did the usual touristy things but this was the shot that struck me the most. It's not a technically great photo, but I loved the contrast of old and new.

The ruins of Tulum

What a spectacular setting!

Mayan children

We went to a Mayan village, and the children were willing photography models (judging from the amount of traffic going through there, I'm sure they're used to it).

Cozumel waterfront

We just returned from spending Christmas in Cozumel...here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip! I just love the contrast of light and dark in this one.

We didn't drink 'em

This picture was taken by my husband. It needs no explanation, really.

The quintessential Vegas moment

So, the quintessential Vegas moment would probably actually involve drunk people doing outrageously stupid things, but this is a close second. A second couple was just arriving as we left.

Hoover dam

The art at Hoover Dam had that Art Deco feel to it.

Moments in Egypt (August '08)

We took over 1000 pictures during the two weeks we were there for our honeymoon...Here are my favorite 5.

A pillar at Luxor Temple:

This one is my absolute favorite just because it makes me smile every time I look at it:

Moments in Maui (July '08)

We got married in Maui in July. I wasn't taking pictures during the wedding, of course, but here are a few I snapped during the week we explored the island.
